The benefits of wool

Wool is a masterpiece from Mother Nature, which is so perfect put together - also for the human use. Here I will tell you some of the good quality and benefits of wool:

First at all wool keeps you warm - but it also keep the warm out on warm days. So instead of wearing cotton socks wear wool socks in your working boots - both in winter and summer time - and you will feel much more comfortable. In Denmark we are using lamb fur for the baby carriage and bed both in winter and summer time and the little one is feeling comfortable.

The wool is breathable unlike human made fiber (acryl, polyester etc.) - and sucks up your sweat so you don't freeze or get harmed by clothes rubbing against your skin.
In the old days fishermen in the Atlantic Ocean were wearing working clothes made of wool, because it's warm even though it gets wet. Once I saved a rainy tent holiday in Italy by bringing wool blanket with us, where it was raining every night so much that the mattresses got wet - but we were warm and comfortable in our wool blanket. After a nice and warm rest we could bring mattresses out in sun every morning with a smile.

The lanoline in the wool is killing the bacteria - and you should not wash wool (except if really dirty) only refresh in the fresh air and if possible in sunshine. Therefore it's also perfect for baby clothing. We are also using wool for baby pants together with cloth nappy - it's much more healthy and the baby is getting cleanly earlier then babies wearing one-off nappies. And it's cheaper to use cloth nappies and baby pants of wool -  about 1000$ per year in Denmark. Nice money to have for other things, when you got a little baby!!

Wool is absolutely my preferred fiber for my clothes in the winter time - and I think by the right design it's absolutely elegant too ! Just what we need in the cold and rough climate to feel great - until the spring time brings the heat and colors to the landscape again.

Wish you a great, warm and comfortable winter and summer with the wool around you - salute to Mother Nature for her perfect fiber to us!
My design is inspired by the Nordic pattern and my little sip of Spanish blood asks for the colors - together I think it's wonderful, elegant and a must for the winter.
