Merry Christmas - and Happy New Year

Here from my workshop I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, where all your dreams come thru.

Due to our calendar here the winter starts today the 21. of December  - I love to have snow during the Christmas holydays.  - So I will ask the weather Gods for same "angel weather":

My vision

My vision is:

To produce and sell  products of high quality - and to wake up the appreciation of having something special made with good spirit.

In my handmade design you will find high quality and spirit, which is to be seen, when you have it in your hands: fx. the fibers, stiches, invisible color changes - and a beautiful finish, so you actually can put the inside out - and it's still beautiful.

Special for me is a few of each therefore I'm only making a few of each design or color. There is no copy cat or off-the-peg-design. My design are my own version of beauty.

The quality is very important, and sometimes I'm doing the pattern over and over again to ensure the result (look) and quality. I'm looking for the best fibers for my design and use - I'm making pattern, washing, testing etc. for the quality.

 - But the spirit in my work is important too, therefore I'm with pride supporting the values below:

• Mother Nature - by using natural material like cotton, silk, linen, wool etc. Our nature own strong and perfect material  - in this way keep our environment clean from chemicals and the Earth clean for our next generations!
• Local - I'm buying local as often it's possible. I support local work and workers.  I'm buying material grown and produced in USA.
• Environment - I'm buying organic when it's possible and non-human made fibers. My own garden has always been grown organic and biodynamic. And my kitchen is mainly organic, because I believe that food without chemicals is the best health product we have.
• Education - I support school and education, so our children are afforded better knowledge and wisdom
• The green environment - every year I'm supporting projects giving us a greener environment:  The science has proved that people, who are relaxing in green in environment are less stressed.

Summer dreams

...while I'm busy with my winter production - I'm planning on my summer products:

I fall in love with the old fashion underwear I saw at the craft show in Belmond, Iowa this summer. Some of the underwear are more than 100 years old and still "working" out:

Just now I'm designing new models of the underwear below - I don't yet if the ribbon shall be of fabric or crochet. The crochet ribbon gives a more fitting blouse. My blouses will be in silk, cotton/linen or cotton/merino.

Hat design inspired by the fishermen

Here my own hat inspired by the fishermen's hats from my childhood harbor - to wear it tucked-up at warm days - and pulled over the ears at cold days. To wear it is like downloading dreams, stories and breeze from the ocean:

New hats and ideas are up-coming all the time - here hats inspired by the typical Nordic Pattern - I got no name for them jet - maybe "Nordic Light" - I have not decided jet if they need "pom pom" - or not:

Oh yes, I must admit that I'm far from being a good and sable blogger - I better like to create than blogging.
My best days are times with new ideas and design, to find the best look, matching colors and design. The same moment my imagination is wandering off and my soul is dancing of joy: This is a great part of my journey of creating.
The quality of my work is the most important - and for me it's also important to keep up the good spirit and joy - and you will find that all my hats and work have names and stories. In the hope that you will catch the journey of the good spirit and imagination. Here you can see some of my new creations:

One of my creative corners - here I'm getting ready with hats for presentation in shops - I still need to put the tacks on - and we are ready to go.
As you see I'm also drying herbs for the winter too; oregano, basil, parsley, rosemary etc. - the treats for our meals in wintertime. My herbs are of course organic - all our garden is driven organic. Here one of my creative corners in house:
